2ND ANNUAL “HALL OF GAME”

hallofgame_1

-I was looking through old posts yesterday and realized it has already been a year since my “Hall of Game” post… So i decided to do another this year.

Here is another group of guys that i personally find inspiration from… Some are incredible artists, some dont think twice about “art”, But all are major over-achievers in our realm… And for that i salut them!

ZESER.
zeser

-ZES has been putting in serious work in the streets of LA consistently since the early 90’s, I met him when he was 15 and he hasn’t stopped being a boss since. Zes doesnt give a shit about graffiti trends/aesthetics -He has ALWAYS done his own thing, his own way… His style is raw and honest. Once you meet him and come to understand him as a person it is a perfect reflection of his being. -Landmark king.

VANS
alfaomega09

-I’VE been chatting alot about these Aussies lately as there is some serious talent down under. The Burners VANS has been painting lately are some of the most amazing pieces of graffiti i have ever seen.

SKREW
skrew

-If you dont know the story/history behind the Philly based dude thats too bad for you. SKREW is one of the most official writers in the game. He has put in more work/paid more dues than just about anybody… And after all of these years(roughly 20 of em’) he is still going hard.

STEEL

-The Bay Area’s own STEEL is a beast, or a “Vanilla Gorilla” actually… His style is one of my favorites in the game today. Always original, always grinning, and always smoking more weed than Bob Marley.

DEMS
dems

-Who’d have thought that one of the best writers in the world would come out of Elche, Spain… a town of about 200,000. DEMS is another guy who Stylistically “gets it” -dude is Very versatile and has a huge arsenal of heavy artillery.

SOFLES

-The guy from Brisbane, Australia is fucking amazing, He does it all very-very well… Again, some of the most incredible pieces i have ever seen in my life… special effects on par with the likes of Dreamworks.

TYKE(Witnes)
witnes

-LA’s TYKE was like Michael Jordan or Christian Hosoi to me growing up… The pieces he was doing in the mid-90’s still burn everybody today. The 1st time i painted with TYKE he destroyed every idea i had about painting with spray paint… I thought there were rules and a set formula to painting a piece. He showed up and started painting with 2 cans in each hand doing outlines first, starting with his middle letters and painting them all the way through… everything -highlights/border/background all before even starting the 1st letter of his name. After that experience my own stuff changed dramatically, and quickly begun to evolve once i abondoned the old-school formula of painting and begun to paint more freely and natural like TYKE. -Anyways, he has made a big comeback lately with a new found hunger to paint… WELCOME BACK CHAMP.

ADEK
adek

-Now residing, or more appropriately CRUSHING New York ADEK’s presence there could be best described as Godzilla on a rampage through Tokyo.. Oh wait, he ripped that place a new asshole too!
